found, the vessel was flying the Customs ensign.

It would seem that the Japanese naval party

abandoned the vessel the same day as she was thought to

have been seen adrift without lights on Sunday morning

before day-light when S. S. Kinshan proceeding from Macao

to Hong Kong had to turn sharply to avoid a collision with

what was presumed to be a Customs vessel.
